Attock 102/4 (282 net) – Muni 115/6 (285 net)
After finishing second to Attock in the league the boys had to face them again in the Quarter Finals of the playoffs at Moseley School.
Attock batted first and at the halfway point had reached 42 without the loss of a wicket giving a net score of 242.
With the introduction of the third Attock pair the boys got a breakthrough with Mohammed getting two wickets in the pairs first over. Good bowling for the remaining overs of the pair by Mohammed and Reiss saw another wicket fall in the last over of the pair with Reiss getting a wicket to leave Attock on a net score of 251 going into the final pair.
A final wicket came for Isaac in the last over of the innings to give Attock a total net score of 282.
Muni opened up the batting with Advait and Arun. Unfortunately a couple of wickets were lost but Advait ended up reaching 17 and getting a 6 which gave Muni a net score of 215.
Reiss and Matthew came in next and batted bravely against some tough bowling.
The third pair in were Turan and Mohammed who set about increasing the run rate with some great shots, scoring 20 and 8 and giving Muni a net score of 242 at the end of their innings.
This meant that Isaac and Shayan had to score 41 to win. Despite losing a wicket in the first over they batted fantastically hitting 5 fours and 3 sixes between them.
Into the final over they still needed 11 to win and managed to overtake Attock on the penultimate ball, while the final ball was safely blocked to give the boys an amazing win against a really strong Attock team.
The boys had now qualified for the Finals day at Coventry and North Warwickshire in September.
