Girls only All Stars Cricket

We are excited to announce that we have started a Girls Only All Stars Cricket at Solihull Municipal, Brick Kiln Lane for 2018.

This is a fantastic opportunity for girls to play and enjoy the game of cricket in a safe environment where they can feel comfortable

By registering for All Stars Cricket, your child will be guaranteed eight weeks of jam-packed fun, activity and skills development. The programme is suitable for all children new to cricket and sport as the sessions are designed to teach the basic skills of the game. Every child will earn stars as the weeks progress that match the skills learned during the programme:

All Stars Cricket is back at Solihull Municipal CC

We are pleased to announce that All Stars Cricket will be returning to Solihull Municipal, Brick Kiln Lane for 2018.

Starting, Friday 11th May 4:30-5:30pm for 8 Weeks

All Stars Cricket is a brand-new initiative from the England and Wales Cricket Board aimed at providing children aged five to eight with a great first experience in cricket.

By registering for All Stars Cricket, your child will be guaranteed eight weeks of jam-packed fun, activity and skills development. The programme is suitable for all children new to cricket and sport as the sessions are designed to teach the basic skills of the game. Every child will earn stars as the weeks progress that match the skills learned during the programme:

Batting – hitting a moving ball, Throwing – underarm and overarm, Catching – small and large balls, Bowling – overarm, Running – lots of movement, Teamwork – fun games with friends, Communication – the basics of cricket, Spirit of Cricket – how to respect others

Alex Roslyn Honours

Alex Roslyn has been rewarded for his consistent performances in 2017 by being named as one of the MCCC’s ‘player of the season’.

This award is addition to being named Warwickshire League Premier Division Player of the Year.

All of those connect with Solihull Municipal know how much this will mean to Alex, he works tirelessly on his game which is going from strength to strength with the added pressure of being captain for the first time it shows the cricketer he has become. We want to Congratulate Alex on his awards and hope 2018 will be even better for him and team.

New 2nd X1 Captain

During our AGM in November, Solihull Municipal are please to announce that Kevin Bissett will be leading the 2nd X1 during the 2018 campaign. Kevin comes with wealth of experience, leading the 1st Team for 9 years.

We would like to thank Nathan Reynolds for this commitment, passion and dedication during the 2017 season, he has transformed the 2nd team into a younger and more hungry team and we hope Kevin can build on his foundations.

Dubai Touring Game

On Sunday 9th July, Dubai Stallions travelled to Brick Kiln Lane to face a Solihull Municipal Representative team, captained by Kevin Bissett. On a warm Sunday the game was played in a fantastic spirt and Stallions where a pleasure to host on this momentous day.
